LOOKING FOR GOD #2 - HOPE

So as I was walking home towards the train station.

I said to myself 'I wish I could be best friends with hope' because am already great friends with perseverance. We actually met whilst I was in primary school I realised I had a habit or continuing something regardless whether good or bad I didn't know the meaning of giving up then. Literally and figuratively.

I saw hope all the time but I didn't think I needed her as a friend. I tried to befriend her but things just didn't work out, I mean if I never gave up why would I need hope.

BUT

I knew I needed to be friends with hope & perseverance because I knew I could accomplish so much more. The reason this became important was that I started seeing the world with eyes wide open and realised I needed her.

BUT 

You cannot pass a lecture without understanding the lecturer or the work that has been assigned to you, this is common knowledge. So from making this realisation I needed to apply it to what was written before me (bible) and I found.

Lamentations 3:24 - The Lord is my portion, says my soul, therefore I will hope in him.
Romans 12:12  -  Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer

Having hope comes hand in hand when worshipping, to believe in God there must be hope, so the friendship is essential. According to Romans you must be happy that you can hope, and hope whilst in prayer. This helps me summarise that Looking for God begins with self discovery & and having hope for change. Not fake hope but prayer that hope will find answers in your problems and bring you closer to god. (quick prayer say amen lol)
